青葉容疑者、呼吸器外し返事＝会話訓練可能に－京アニ放火

　アニメ制作会社「京都アニメーション」第１スタジオ（京都市伏見区）で３５人が犠牲になった放火殺人事件で、全身に大やけどを負い入院中の青葉真司容疑者（４１）＝さいたま市見沼区、殺人容疑などで逮捕状＝が、呼吸器を外して返事するまでに回復したことが１８日、捜査関係者への取材で分かった。
　捜査関係者によると、青葉容疑者は大阪府内の病院で、皮膚移植手術を受けるなどしてきた。寝たきりだが生命の危険がある重篤な状態を脱し、呼吸器を外せば返事などができ、会話訓練を始められるほどに回復したという。
　ただ、依然として集中治療室（ＩＣＵ）での治療が続いており、今後も手術を受けるとみられる。京都府警は同容疑者の回復を待って逮捕する方針だが、留置に耐えられる状態となるには時間がかかる見通しという。（2019/09/18-13:04）

The Kyoto Animation Co. arson attack suspect has recovered enough to be able to answer questions, investigative sources said Wednesday.
   The July 18 attack on a studio of the anime powerhouse, known as KyoAni, in Kyoto Prefecture, western Japan, claimed the lives of 35 people and injured many others.
   The suspect, Shinji Aoba, 41, himself suffered severe burns in the incident. He has undergone skin graft surgery at a hospital in Osaka Prefecture, next to Kyoto.
   Aoba has improved from a critical condition and is now able to answer questions when an artificial respirator is removed, the sources said, adding that he can now start therapy for holding conversations.
   Still, he remains in an intensive care unit and is expected to undergo another operation, according to the sources.
