台風１７号、温帯低気圧に＝東北や北海道へ、暴風大雨警戒－気象庁

　大型の台風１７号は２３日、山陰沖から能登半島沖へ進み、午前９時に温帯低気圧に変わった。同日夜から２４日未明にかけて東北地方北部や北海道を通過する見込み。気象庁は暴風や高波、大雨に警戒するよう呼び掛けた。
　２３日は広い範囲で風が吹き荒れたほか、東海や北海道で激しい雨が降った。北陸では晴れて気温が上がり、新潟県上越市で３５．７度を観測するなど、３５度以上の猛暑日となる所があった。
　総務省消防庁によると、１７号による重傷者は宮崎県で１人。軽傷者は沖縄、宮崎、長崎、佐賀、福岡、高知、島根、鳥取の各県で計５６人に上った。住宅の一部破損は宮崎県を中心に５１４棟。２２日から２３日にかけては九州や中国で停電が広がった。
　２４日午後６時までの２４時間予想雨量は多い所で、北海道８０ミリ、東北５０ミリ。２４日にかけて予想される最大瞬間風速は北陸と東北、北海道で３５メートル。波の高さは北陸と東北６メートル、北海道５メートルの見込み。（2019/09/23-18:48）

Typhoon Tapah turned into an extratropical cyclone at 9 a.m. Monday (midnight Sunday GMT) while traveling over the Sea of Japan off the coast of the Sanin western Japan region and the Noto Peninsula in the central part of the country.
   Still, strong winds hit many areas, and torrential rain is expected in the northernmost prefecture of Hokkaido, the Tohoku northeastern region, the Kanto-Koshin region of eastern to central Japan, and the Tokai central region. The Japan Meteorological Agency warned residents in these areas of violent winds, high waves and heavy rain.
   The extratropical cyclone is expected to pass through northern Tohoku and Hokkaido toward Monday night and early Tuesday. In the city of Hamada in Shimane Prefecture, part of Sanin, a maximum instantaneous wind speed of 35.3 meters per second was recorded at 4:10 a.m.
   In the Kyushu southwestern region, one person suffered serious injuries in Miyazaki Prefecture due to the 17th typhoon of this year, and four people in Saga Prefecture and three each in Nagasaki Prefecture and Miyazaki were slightly injured, according to the Fire and Disaster Management Agency.
   As of 9 a.m., the extratropical cyclone was located off the Noto Peninsula, traveling northeast at a speed of 65 kilometers per hour. It had a central atmospheric pressure of 992 hectopascals, with a maximum sustained wind speed of 25 meters per second.
