自公、過半数うかがう　都民ファは議席減か―都議選終盤情勢

　任期満了に伴う東京都議選（定数１２７、７月４日投開票）について、時事通信社は選挙区の取材などを通じて終盤情勢を探った。自民党は都議会第１党を奪還する勢いを見せ、選挙協力を復活した公明党と合わせて、過半数の６４議席をうかがう。一方、小池百合子知事が特別顧問を務める地域政党「都民ファーストの会」は、議席を減らす見通しだ。
　４年前の都議選で追加公認を含めて５５議席を獲得し、第１党となった都民ファは４７人の公認候補を擁立。しかし、躍進の原動力となった小池知事は過労で静養しており、応援入りは見通せない状況。選挙経験が少ない１回生が多く、現有の４６議席から大きく減る可能性がある。
　自民は、無投票当選が決まった小平市選挙区を含む全４２選挙区で計６０人を公認。前回は２３議席と歴史的大敗を喫したが、公明と連携して組織戦を展開。改選前の２５議席から大幅に増やしそうだ。２３人を立てた公明は８回連続の全員当選を目指すが、一部選挙区は激戦となっている。
　立憲民主党は２８人が立候補。１、２人区を中心に、共産党と候補者を一本化したことで、政権批判票の受け皿として現有７議席から増やす公算が大きい。３１人を擁立した共産も支持層に支えられ、堅調な戦いを進めている。
　このほか、日本維新の会や地域政党「東京・生活者ネットワーク」、国民民主党なども都議会での勢力確保を目指している。（2021/06/30-08:00）

The Liberal Democratic Party and Komeito are within reach of winning a combined majority in the metropolitan assembly election to be held on Sunday, according to a Jiji Press poll.
   The ruling parties in national politics, which have restored their partnership in the assembly, could together gain 64 seats in the 127-seat assembly.
   The LDP has the momentum to retake its position as the largest party in the assembly from Tomin First no Kai (Tokyoites first group), a regional party launched by Tokyo Governor Yuriko Koike, which could see its seats greatly reduced in the upcoming election from the current 46.
   In the 2017 poll, Tomin First secured 55 seats, including those won by independent candidates endorsed by the party after the election, becoming the largest party in the assembly.
   This time, the party, to which Koike serves as special adviser, fielded 47 candidates. But it is unclear whether the governor will go on the stump given that she is resting after suffering extreme fatigue.
