スキー・ジャンプの金野昭次氏死去＝札幌五輪「日の丸飛行隊」、７５歳

　金野　昭次氏（こんの・あきつぐ＝札幌冬季五輪ジャンプ７０メートル級銀メダリスト）５日に病気のため死去、７５歳。札幌市出身。葬儀は近親者で済ませた。
　北海高校から日大を経て北海道拓殖銀行入り。五輪には１９６８年グルノーブル大会で初出場した。７２年札幌大会では、金メダルの笠谷幸生氏（７６）に続いて２位に入り、３位の故青地清二氏とともに表彰台を独占。「日の丸飛行隊」と呼ばれた。９８年長野大会では聖火ランナーを務め、開会式で過去の冬季五輪入賞者とともに五輪旗を持って入場行進した。

　近年は札幌スキー連盟のジャンプ競技役員などを務めていたが、昨年体調を崩して大会運営から離れていた。（2019/09/09-14:18）

Akitsugu Konno, a former Japanese ski jumper who won a silver medal at the 1972 Winter Olympics in Sapporo, Japan, died of a disease on Thursday. He was 75.
   Konno, a native of Sapporo, the capital of Hokkaido, northernmost Japan, made his Olympic debut at the 1968 Winter Games in Grenoble, France.
   In the 70-meter jump at the Sapporo Games, Konno was runner-up to fellow Japanese jumper Yukio Kasaya, currently 76. With the late Seiji Aochi, who finished third, the three Japanese jumpers monopolized the podium.
   Konno served as a torch bearer at the 1998 Winter Olympics in Nagano, central Japan. In the opening ceremony, he joined other former Winter Olympic athletes in marching carrying the Olympic flag.
   He served as a jump competition officer at the Ski Association of Sapporo recently.
