首都圏２７７万人に影響＝ＪＲ東、在来線３８００本運休－台風１５号

　ＪＲ東日本は９日、台風１５号の首都圏直撃により、在来線の運休が３８３７本に上り、約２７７万７０００人に影響したと発表した。９日始発から首都圏の在来線全てで運転を見合わせ、通勤・通学客の足に大きな影響が出ていた。
　ＪＲ東は８日、運転再開時刻の見通しを９日午前８時ごろとしていたが、台風のスピードが想定より遅かったほか、設備破損や倒木、飛来物などの被害が確認される路線もあったため、大幅にずれ込んだ。
　横須賀線は送電設備の故障で逗子－久里浜間が、中央・総武線の各駅停車は架線に支障物が触れた影響で幕張－千葉間がいずれも終日運転見合わせとなるなど、９日中に再開できなかった線区もあった。
　東海道線大船駅や武蔵野線西船橋駅、中央線武蔵小金井駅など入場を規制した駅も相次ぎ、利用者は長時間待機を余儀なくされた。
　ＪＲ東海も、９日に東海道新幹線の上下線で２０本が運休し、１２０本に遅れが出たと明らかにした。遅れによる影響は約１０万人に上ったという。
　同社によると、９日朝、同新幹線の東京－小田原間の線路上など約２０カ所で、木の枝やトタンが見つかった。枝は長いもので約５メートルあり、直径は１０センチ程度だった。
　台風１５号の接近に伴い、東海道新幹線は８日に上下線で１１７本が運休。最終列車の出発時間を繰り上げた。（2019/09/09-21:49）

Typhoon Faxai forced East Japan Railway Co. to halt 3,837 non-Shinkansen trains in the Tokyo area Monday, affecting some 2,777,000 people, the company said.
   The railway operator, known as JR East, said Sunday that it would halt Monday's non-Shinkansen train services until around 8 a.m. (11 p.m. Sunday GMT) due to the typhoon.
   But the resumption was delayed on many train lines due to the typhoon moving at a slower speed than anticipated, damage to rail equipment and the discovery of objects such as fallen trees on rail tracks.
   Some sections, including on the Yokosuka Line, were unable to resume services on Monday.
   The company restricted entry of passengers into some stations such as Ofuna on the Tokaido Line, forcing many people to wait for a long period of time to get on trains.
