８地域がカジノ誘致検討＝北海道や千葉市など－赤羽国交相

　赤羽一嘉国土交通相は２４日の閣議後記者会見で、観光庁が行ったカジノを含む統合型リゾート（ＩＲ）の誘致意向を尋ねるアンケート調査に対し、北海道や千葉市など８地域が「予定または検討している」と回答したと明らかにした。今後同庁が自治体へのヒアリングを行い、準備状況などの確認を進める。
　他の６地域は東京都、横浜市、名古屋市、大阪府・市、和歌山県、長崎県。大阪府・市は一体的に誘致活動を展開している。
　アンケートは今月９～１９日に実施した。ＩＲ整備法では、誘致を希望する自治体は国にＩＲ整備計画の認定を申請することを定めている。申請に基づき、国は全国で最大３カ所にＩＲ整備を認める。（2019/09/24-13:38）

Eight areas in Japan are considering hosting casino-featuring integrated resorts, tourism minister Kazuyoshi Akaba said Tuesday.
   The eight are Hokkaido, the city of Chiba, Tokyo, the city of Yokohama, the city of Nagoya, the group of Osaka Prefecture and the city of Osaka, Wakayama Prefecture and Nagasaki Prefecture, Akaba said at a press conference, citing the results of a survey conducted by the Japan Tourism Agency.
   The agency will conduct interviews with officials from these eight areas to confirm the status of preparations. The survey was carried out from Sept. 9 through Thursday.
   A separate survey conducted by Jiji Press has found that the cities of Kawasaki and Hamamatsu are considering hosting casino resorts in addition to the eight areas.
   Local governments that wish to host casino resorts are required to file for state approval of their development plans. The central government plans to permit casino construction at up to three locations.
