「復興五輪にふさわしい舞台」＝橋本五輪相が福島の球場視察

　橋本聖子五輪担当相は１９日、就任後初めて福島県を訪れ、東京五輪の野球・ソフトボール会場となる県営あづま球場（福島市）を視察した。終了後、記者団に「アスリートファースト（の施設）で、復興五輪にふさわしい舞台だ」と語った。
　あづま球場では内外野とも人工芝に張り替えるなどの改修工事が行われており、間もなく完了する見通し。橋本氏は県の担当者の案内で、グラウンドやロッカールームの改修状況を見て回った。今月２８日には、こけら落としとしてプロ野球イースタン・リーグ楽天－日本ハム戦が行われる。
　視察に先立ち、橋本氏は県庁で内堀雅雄知事と会談。橋本氏は「復興五輪が最大のテーマだ。福島の姿を世界に発信していきたい」と述べ、県産食材の活用などに力を入れる考えを示した。（2019/09/19-16:48）

Seiko Hashimoto, Japan's minister for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics and Paralympics, visited on Thursday a stadium in Fukushima Prefecture, northeastern Japan, that will be used for baseball and softball games in the Olympics.
   "The stadium, built with the athletes-first concept, is suitable for the 'reconstruction Olympics,'" Hashimoto told reporters.
   This is the first time for Hashimoto to visit Fukushima since she assumed the ministerial post in a cabinet reshuffle last week. It is one of the three prefectures hit hardest by the March 2011 powerful earthquake and tsunami.
   Ongoing renovation work, including artificial grass replacement, at the stadium, one of facilities in Azuma Sports Park in the city of Fukushima, the capital of the prefecture, is expected to be completed shortly.
   Earlier in the day, Hashimoto held talks with Fukushima Governor Masao Uchibori. "The reconstruction Olympics and Paralympics is the biggest theme for the Tokyo Games," Hashimoto, an Olympic speed skating bronze medalist, told the governor.
