ドコモ、４機種で５Ｇプレサービス＝商用化と同じ環境で提供－基地局計画は前倒し

　ＮＴＴドコモは１８日、次世代通信規格「５Ｇ」のプレサービスの概要を発表した。２０年春の商用化時と同じ環境でソニーなど４社の端末を使用。２０日からラグビーワールドカップなどでサービスを提供する。また、５Ｇ基地局の設置計画を前倒し、２０年６月末までに４７都道府県に基地局を展開し、２１年春までに１万局を整備する方針を明らかにした。（2019/09/18-17:38）

Japanese mobile phone carrier NTT Docomo Inc. said Wednesday that it will begin a trial service allowing people in Tokyo and other major cities in the nation, including Nagoya and Osaka, to experience using fifth-generation, or 5G, communications networks, ahead of its commercial rollout next spring.
The experimental next-generation network service will be available at competition venues for the Rugby World Cup in Japan, which kicks off the same day, and other locations, the company said Wednesday.
