トヨタ、米テキサスに４２０億円＝トラック需要増で工場刷新

　【ニューヨーク時事】トヨタ自動車は１７日、米南部テキサス州サンアントニオのトラック工場に、２０２１年までに３億９１００万ドル（約４２０億円）を投資すると発表した。米国で小型トラックの需要が一段と高まっていることを踏まえ、新たな生産設備を導入するなど刷新を進める。
　１７～２１年の５年間に約１３０億ドルを米国に投資する計画の一環。同工場ではピックアップトラックの「タンドラ」「タコマ」を年２５万８０００台（１８年実績）生産している。（2019/09/18-08:47）

Toyota Motor Corp. said Tuesday it will invest 391 million dollars in its truck plant in San Antonio, Texas, by 2021 in response to strong customer demand.
The investment "will make the plant even more competitive in the long-term and more efficient while remaining flexible with multivehicle production capabilities by introducing various advanced manufacturing technologies," the Japanese automaker said in a statement.
