国内感染、６２１４人　沖縄最多１４１４人―東京は前週比１２倍・新型コロナ

　国内では７日、新たに６２１４人の新型コロナウイルス感染が確認された。新規感染者が６０００人を超えたのは昨年９月１５日以来。沖縄県では初めて１０００人を上回る１４１４人の感染が判明、前日（９８１人）に続き過去最多を更新した。東京都は９２２人で、前週金曜日の昨年１２月３１日（７８人）から１２倍近くに拡大した。
　７日正午時点の沖縄県の集計では、国基準の病床使用率が２８．９％、重症者用の病床使用率は２３．３％。使用中の病床数は１８７床だが、３週間後に必要な病床数は３万７７２５床と予測しており、医療態勢が急速に逼迫（ひっぱく）しつつある。
　都によると、新規感染者の直近１週間平均は３３８．６人で、前週の６倍を超えた。７日時点の都基準の重症者は前日と同じ３人。新たな死者は確認されなかった。
　大阪府は６７６人の感染を確認。沖縄県とともにまん延防止等重点措置の適用が決まった広島県は４２９人で過去最多。山口県は１８０人で、これとは別に米軍岩国基地（岩国市）で９１人の陽性が判明した。
　全国の重症者は前日比２７人増の９１人、死者は１人確認された。
　厚生労働省の集計によると、国内で確認されたオミクロン株感染者は６日午後９時時点で累計１６０１人。うち直近の海外渡航歴がなく、感染経路が不明な人は６５８人に上る。７日には北海道や和歌山県などで、同株の市中感染とみられる事例が初確認された。（2022/01/07-19:29）

The southernmost Japan prefecture of Okinawa is expected to report over 1,400 new cases of novel coronavirus infection Friday, the prefectural government said the same day.
   It is the first time that the daily figure in Okinawa will top 1,000. The prefecture will mark a record high number for the second consecutive day. On Thursday, the tally came to 981.
   As of noon Thursday (3 a.m. GMT), the occupancy rate for hospital beds for COVID-19 patients in Okinawa stood at 24.7 pct under the central government's standards while that of beds for severely ill patients came to 30.0 pct.
   Although the number of occupied beds currently stands at 160, the prefectural government expects that 13,686 beds will be necessary in three weeks, suggesting that a squeeze on the local medical system is imminent.
   If the national government decides to place Okinawa in a COVID-19 pre-emergency stage, the prefectural government will ask local restaurants and bars that have certificates for infection prevention measures to end daily operations by 9 p.m. from Sunday to Jan. 31. Other stores will be asked to close by 8 p.m. and suspend the serving of alcoholic drinks.
