「やってられへん」といら立ち　飲食店、聖火ランナーも心境複雑―まん延防止措置で

　新型コロナウイルスの感染急拡大を受けた大阪府と宮城、兵庫両県に対する「まん延防止等重点措置」。飲食店などに午後８時までの営業時間短縮が要請・命令される見通しで、再三、営業時間変更を余儀なくされることに「やってられへん」といら立つ人も。聖火リレーの一部中止も検討される中、ランナーは「走りたい気持ちはあるが…」と複雑な声を上げた。
　飲食店などが立ち並ぶ大阪・ミナミ。居酒屋の５０代男性店長は「やってられへん」と声を上げた。緊急事態宣言解除を受け、先月１日に営業時間を１時間延ばし午後９時にしたばかり。「宣言を解除しなきゃよかった。意地で続けてきたがもう無理だ」と休業を決断。「いっそ休業要請だったら客の理解も得やすい」と語った。
　てっちり鍋店「ほてい」の目崎義信社長（５１）は「（感染対策と経済対策の）バランスを取りながらやっている」と理解を示した。「ワクチン接種が広がり感染が早く落ち着いてほしい」と時短営業に協力するという。
　措置適用に伴い、大阪府の吉村洋文知事は大阪市内の聖火リレーを「中止せざるを得ない」との認識を示した。ランナー大作邦弘さん（３７）は「感染者が増え、苦しんでいる人がいる。走りたい気持ちはあるが、中止も仕方がない」と複雑な心境を語った。
　感染拡大を受け、先月２５日に午後９時までの時短営業要請をしたばかりの仙台市でも不安の声が聞かれた。「おでん三吉」の田村浩章社長（５０）は「『まん防』の意味も浸透しないうちに実施されても」と突然の適用決定に驚きを隠せない様子。「感染対策などを徹底してきたが、ここまで時短営業が長引くなら休業も考えざるを得ない」と話した。
　クラフトビール専門店の店長黒田恭平さん（３２）は「時短要請が繰り返されて、いいかげんにしてくれという感じ。お客さんが戻ってくると信じて頑張るしかない」と語った。（2021/04/02-07:05）

Facing an imminent request by authorities for shortening opening hours again, the chief of an izakaya pub in the busy Minami district of the city of Osaka angrily said, "I can't take it anymore."
   Along with other eating and drinking establishments, the izakaya Japanese-style pubs extended operating hours by one hour until 9 p.m. only on March 1 in the wake of the lifting of the coronavirus state of emergency in Osaka Prefecture and five other western and southwestern prefectures.
   But now that the central government has decided to implement quasi-emergency measures in Osaka and neighboring Hyogo Prefecture as well as the northeastern prefecture of Miyagi due to spikes in now coronavirus cases, the request for ending daily operations by 8 p.m. will be reinstated shortly to create a life-or-death situation again for many eateries and bars.
   "The government shouldn't have lifted the emergency," the izakaya head in his 50s said. "I've been keep doing the business stubbornly, but I can't do it anymore."
   An official of a major eatery chain questioned the effectiveness of the measure in reducing the number of cases, saying, "I wonder if our sacrifice in sales will bear fruit."
