最新ＥＶ、続々登場＝２４日から東京モーターショー

　自動車メーカー各社は２４日開幕する東京モーターショーで、電気自動車（ＥＶ）の最新モデルや試作車をお披露目する。環境規制の強化を受け、ＥＶの開発競争が世界的に激化しており、日本勢も技術力をアピールする。自動運転や人工知能（ＡＩ）など先端技術を搭載した車両も続々と登場。主会場の東京ビッグサイト（東京・有明）などは近未来の自動車が競演する場になりそうだ。
　トヨタ自動車は、限定的な地域を完全自動で走行するＥＶ「ＬＱ」を公開する。センサーなどで把握した表情や姿勢の変化から運転者の疲労を検知。ＡＩも活用し、声を掛けて眠気を覚ましたり、シートの一部に空気を入れて姿勢を整えたりする機能も備えた。２０２０年の公道実験を予定し、同年の東京五輪・パラリンピックでは聖火リレーの隊列車両や競技の先導車として運営をサポートする。

　日産自動車は、軽自動車クラスの試作ＥＶ「ニッサン　ＩＭｋ」を出展。ドライバーが降りた後に自動で駐車したり、駐車場内で車両をスマートフォンで呼び寄せたりする機能を搭載した。
　ホンダは２０年の国内販売を予定しているＥＶ「Ｈｏｎｄａ　ｅ」を披露し、マツダも初の量産ＥＶを出展する。ダイハツ工業のＥＶ「ＩｃｏＩｃｏ（イコイコ）」は、格納式スロープを左側ドア付近に配備し、子どもや高齢者が乗り降りしやすくした。（2019/10/11-17:37）

Automakers will showcase their newest models and prototypes of electric vehicles at the Tokyo Motor Show, set to begin on Oct. 24.
   Japanese automakers hope to promote their technologies, amid intensified competition in electric vehicle development, reflecting worldwide moves to tighten environmental restrictions.
   Vehicles with cutting-edge technologies, including autonomous driving and artificial intelligence, will be displayed at the event.
   Tokyo Big Sight convention center in Koto Ward and nearby facilities, which will host the biennial auto industry show, are expected to turn into a showcase for near-future vehicles.
   After an opening event on Oct. 24, the show will be open to the general public from Oct. 25 through Nov. 4. The media preview will be held for two days from Oct. 23.
