海洋プラで報告書初公表＝日米欧で流出量推計へ－Ｇ２０事務会合

　政府は１１日、東京都内で８～１０日に開いた海洋プラスチックごみ対策に関する２０カ国・地域（Ｇ２０）事務レベル会合の成果を公表した。各国が取り組むプラごみの管理や処理、プラ使用削減などの対策をまとめた報告書を初めて策定。日本と米国、欧州連合（ＥＵ）が今後も主導し、各国の流出量をより正確に推計する手法などを確立させる方針を確認した。
　会合は、６月の長野県軽井沢町でのＧ２０エネルギー・環境関係閣僚会合でまとまった、海洋プラごみ対策の国際枠組みが、実質的に動きだす機会。報告書にはＧ２０の１５カ国・地域のほか、Ｇ２０以外の４カ国によるそれぞれの取り組みが盛り込まれた。日本は、高効率のリサイクル設備の導入支援や、漁業者がプラごみを海から持ち帰る取り組みを参加国・地域と共有した。（2019/10/11-12:14）

The Japanese government released Friday the first report drawn up by the Group of 20 economies on action plans by member countries for better management and disposal of plastic waste in a bid to reduce marine plastic pollution.
   The report confirmed a policy of establishing a method for accurately calculating the plastic waste released by each country, led by Japan, the United States and the European Union.
   The report was based on the results of a working-level meeting the G-20 major advanced and emerging economies that was held in Tokyo for three days through Thursday.
   The meeting marked the effective start of an international framework on the fight against marine plastic waste that was worked out at a meeting of the G-20 energy and environmental ministers in the town of Karuizawa in Nagano Prefecture, central Japan, in June.
   The report included action plans for reducing marine plastic waste by 15 of the G-20 members and four countries outside the G-20 club.
