８月家計支出、１．０％増＝駆け込み需要目立たず－総務省

　総務省が８日発表した８月の家計調査によると、１世帯（２人以上）当たりの消費支出は２９万６３２７円となり、物価変動の影響を除いた実質で前年同月比１．０％増加した。プラスは９カ月連続。暑い日が続きエアコンなどの消費が好調だった。
　同省は消費動向の基調判断を「持ち直している」と据え置いた。消費税増税を前にした駆け込み需要は目立たなかったという。
　エアコンに関しては、涼しかった７月の反動もあった。好天を背景に旅行需要が高かったほか、軽自動車を中心に自動車購入も伸びた。
　一方、消費税率引き上げ前の駆け込み需要について、同省統計調査部は２０１４年の前回増税時と比べ、「明確な動きはない」と指摘。その上で「９月に入ると、ある程度見られるのではないか」との見通しを示した。（2019/10/08-10:18）

Japan Household Spending Up 1.0 Pct in Aug.

The average spending by households in Japan with two or more members rose 1.0 pct in August from a year earlier to 296,327 yen in inflation-adjusted real terms, the internal affairs ministry said Tuesday.
   Consumption grew for the ninth straight month, supported by strong sales of products, including air conditioners, as hot days continued in August.
   The ministry kept unchanged its basic view that household spending is "picking up."
   Last-minute demand ahead of the consumption tax hike from 8 pct to 10 pct in October was not pronounced, an official said.
   Travel services drew strong demand on the back of fine weather. Automobiles enjoyed solid sales, chiefly minivehicles, with engine displacements up to 660 cc.
