おうちで動物園を楽しんで　自動運転ロボがライブ配信―ＺＭＰ

　自動運転技術開発ベンチャーのＺＭＰ（東京）は１３日、動物園の動物を自宅からインターネットで見られる特設サイト「オンライン動物園」を１６日に開設すると発表した。新型コロナウイルスの感染拡大に伴う緊急事態宣言を受けて休園中の千葉市動物公園（千葉市）が協力。３６０度カメラを搭載した自動運転ロボットが人が歩くのとほぼ同じ速度で園内の草原ゾーンを周回し、動物の姿をライブ配信する。
　草原ゾーンにはゾウやキリン、ミーアキャットなどがおり、外出を自粛している子どもたちに楽しんでもらいたい考えだ。オンライン動物園の開園時間は、１６日の午前１０時からの１時間と、午後１時からの２時間。雨天時は１７日に順延する。特設サイトのアドレスは、ｈｔｔｐｓ：／／ｗｗｗ．ｚｍｐ．ｃｏ．ｊｐ／ｅｖｅｎｔ／ｏｎｌｉｎｅ―ｃｈｉｂａ―ｚｏｏ。１人１分ずつ、ロボットを遠隔操縦できる企画も実施する。（2020/05/13-19:36）

Japanese Startup to Offer "Online Zoo" amid Epidemic

A Japanese startup developing automated driving technologies said Wednesday that it will allow people on Saturday to view animals of a zoo from their homes through a special website amid the novel coronavirus pandemic.
For the "online zoo" initiative, Tokyo-based ZMP Inc. will partner with Chiba Zoological Park in the city of Chiba, east of Tokyo, which is currently closed due to the government's declaration of a state of emergency over the epidemic.
