岩根氏、電事連会長の辞任不可避＝関電の金品受領問題で責任論

　関西電力の岩根茂樹社長が、電力会社の業界団体、電気事業連合会の会長職辞任が避けられない情勢になったことが３０日明らかになった。岩根社長ら関電幹部が高浜原発のある福井県高浜町の元助役（故人）から金品を受け取っていたことが分かり、原発推進などへの悪影響を避けるため、責任を問う声が強まっている。
　関電は、高浜町元助役から岩根社長や八木誠会長ら幹部２０人が計３億２０００万円分の金品を受け取っていたことを公表した。同社のガバナンス（企業統治）やコンプライアンス（法令順守）体制に問題があるとの批判が上がっている。（2019/09/30-23:54）

Shigeki Iwane, president of Kansai Electric Power Co. , has been under pressure to resign as chairman of the Federation of Electric Power Companies of Japan, an industry group, due to a money scandal involving himself and other company executives, informed sources said Monday.
Kansai Electric said Friday that 20 executives, including Iwane and Chairman Makoto Yagi, received money and goods worth 320 million yen from a late former deputy mayor of Takahama, Fukui Prefecture, central Japan. The town hosts the company's Takahama nuclear plant.
