高校遺児世帯、貧困浮き彫り　可処分所得、全平均の４６％―あしなが育英会調査

　「あしなが育英会」（東京都千代田区）による高校生向けの奨学金を受ける世帯の可処分所得の平均額が、国の調査における全世帯平均額の約４６％にとどまることが、同会の調査で分かった。同会は病気などで親を亡くした子を支援しており、「貧困で子どもの未来が閉ざされないように支援を強化したい」としている。
　調査は昨年１０月、オンラインと郵送を通じ、奨学金受給世帯の保護者３５３６人を対象に実施。６６％に当たる２３３４人から回答があった。
　就業状況については、約７割が「就業している」と答えたが、そのうち６１．３％が派遣社員やアルバイトなどの非正規雇用だった。可処分所得の平均額は１８７．８万円で、２０２３年に厚生労働省が実施した「国民生活基礎調査」での全世帯平均額４０５．８万円と比べると４６．３％にとどまった。
　同会は２６日、調査結果を受け、月３万円を３年間給付する高校生向け奨学金の採用人数を２５年度は５００人増やすと発表した。２４年度の１５３８人から２０００人程度に増える見込みで、採用率は２４年度実績の４４．１％から６０％程度になるという。
　２６日に記者会見した同会の村田治会長代行は「保護者は経済的な貧困により時間の余裕がなくなり、社会的な孤立へとつながっている」と指摘。「保護者同士の交流会を開くなどして支援していきたい」と話した。（2025/03/27-13:30）

Families of high school students receiving aid from Japan's Ashinaga Foundation suffer poverty in many cases, earning disposable incomes less than half the national average, a survey has found.
   "We want to strengthen support so that poverty will not get in the way of children's future," said the foundation, which provides educational funding for children who have lost one or both of their parents due to illness or other reasons.
   Ashinaga's survey, announced Wednesday, was conducted last October with 3,536 guardians of high school students receiving aid from the organization. Responses came from 66 pct, or 2,334 guardians.
   In the survey, some 70 pct of respondents said they had jobs. However, 61.3 pct of them were nonregular workers or part-timers.
   The average disposable income of all respondents was 1,878,000 yen, only 46.3 pct of the national average of 4,058,000 yen based on a labor ministry survey for 2023.
