元院長起訴求め、署名提出＝地検に３９万人分－池袋暴走

　東京・池袋で乗用車が暴走し、松永真菜さん（３１）と娘の莉子ちゃん（３）が死亡した事故で、遺族が２０日、運転していた旧通産省工業技術院の飯塚幸三元院長（８８）の起訴を求める要望書と約３９万人分の署名を東京地検に提出した。
　記者会見した松永さんの夫（３３）は、多くの署名が集まったことに感謝した上で、「皆さまの思いが無駄にならないよう、自分ができることをしていきたい」と話した。警視庁が任意での捜査を続けており、「終わりが見えない生活をしている。なるべく早く、見込みがあった方が精神的に助かる」などと、早急な捜査を求めた。

　真菜さんの父、上原義教さん（６２）は「私にとっては最愛の娘と孫。悔しい気持ちでいっぱいだが、全国からの励ましと支えできょうまで生きてくることができた」と涙を浮かべた。
　事故は４月１９日午後発生。元院長は車両の不具合を主張する一方、アクセルとブレーキを踏み間違えた可能性にも言及しており、警視庁は自動車運転処罰法違反（過失運転致死傷）容疑で書類送検する方針。（2019/09/20-18:43）

The bereaved family of the victims of a high-profile fatal accident caused by a runaway car submitted Friday a petition seeking the indictment of the 88-year-old driver of the vehicle and signatures from some 390,000 people to the Tokyo District Public Prosecutors Office.
   The accident occurred as the car driven by Kozo Iizuka went out of control while traveling in the busy Ikebukuro district in Tokyo on April 19. The victims were Mana Matsunaga, 31, and her three-year-old daughter, Riko.
   Iizuka had served as head of the former Agency of Industrial Science and Technology under the Ministry of International Trade and Industry, now the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry.
   At a press conference on Friday, the 33-year-old husband of Mana voiced gratitude for the large number of signatures. "I want to do all I can so that the thoughts of people who gave their signatures won't go to waste," he said.
   He asked police to accelerate investigations into the accident, saying, "It would be helpful for me mentally if some outlook for the completion of the probe is shown." Tokyo's Metropolitan Police Department is continuing its investigation, questioning Iizuka on a voluntary basis.
