トマホーク、５００発購入　政府、２３年度に一括契約

　政府は、敵のミサイル基地などをたたく反撃能力（敵基地攻撃能力）で使用を想定する米国製巡航ミサイル「トマホーク」について、２０２３年度に約５００発を一括で購入する契約を米国と結ぶ方針を固めた。政府関係者が１４日、明らかにした。米軍の装備品を調達する有償軍事援助（ＦＭＳ）で調達する。
　トマホーク取得の経費として政府は２３年度予算案に２１１３億円を計上。浜田靖一防衛相は１４日の記者会見で「一括で契約し、所要数を全て取得する」と説明。ただし、トマホークの具体的な数については、防衛能力が明らかになってしまうことを理由に明言しなかった。
　防衛省によると、配備するトマホークの射程は約１６００キロで、米軍と同じ最新型という。２６年度から海上自衛隊のイージス艦への配備を開始し、２７年度の配備完了を目指す。
　反撃能力に活用するため、防衛省は国産の「１２式地対艦誘導弾」の長射程化に取り組んでおり、実用化は２６年度の見通し。ただ、開発が予定通りに完了しなければ配備が遅れるため、トマホークを一括で取得し、早期に配備することとした。（2023/02/15-07:06）

Japan to Buy 500 Tomahawk Missiles in FY 2023

Tokyo plans to ink a deal with Washington to buy some 500 Tomahawk cruise missiles in fiscal 2023 for possible use in a counterstrike against enemy missile bases, Japanese officials said Tuesday.
   The Japanese government expects to procure the U.S.-made missiles under the U.S. Foreign Military Sales program for the provision of military equipment for the U.S. military.
   Japan plans to spend 211.3 billion yen to buy the missiles under its fiscal 2023 draft budget.
   "We'll make a bulk contract and acquire all the required number," Defense Minister Yasukazu Hamada told a news conference.
   He did not disclose the exact number of Tomahawk missiles to be procured, saying that such disclosure would reveal part of Japan's defense capabilities.
