クールジャパン大使に平野綾さん＝京アニ作品に出演

　声優や歌手として活躍する平野綾さんが９日、日本の魅力を海外に伝える政府の「クールジャパン・アンバサダー」に就任した。内閣府で開かれた任命式では「海外のアニメイベントなどで（日本の魅力を）発信したい」と意気込みを語った。
　平井卓也クールジャパン戦略担当相は「日本を代表するコンテンツを発信し、海外の共感を得られるよう活躍してほしい」と激励した。
　平野さんは京都アニメーションの代表作「涼宮ハルヒの憂鬱（ゆううつ）」などに出演している。（2019/09/09-15:08）

Japanese voice actress and singer Aya Hirano was named on Monday as ambassador for the government's "Cool Japan" strategy of promoting the country's attractions, including anime, abroad.
   "I want to spread Japan's charms by attending overseas anime events, among other occasions," Hirano said at an appointment ceremony, held at the Cabinet Office in Tokyo.
   Takuya Hirai, minister in charge of the Cool Japan initiative, said he hopes that Hirano will "actively work to make Japan's leading content known to people abroad and win their support."
   Hirano is known for providing the voice of the title character of "The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya," one of the most famous works from Kyoto Animation Co., a renowned anime production company in Japan.
