芝野八段、１０代初のタイトル＝史上最年少－囲碁・名人戦

　囲碁の張栩名人（３９）に芝野虎丸八段（１９）が挑戦する第４４期名人戦７番勝負第５局が７日から静岡県熱海市で打たれ、８日、白番の芝野が２５２手で中押し勝ちし、４勝１敗で初のタイトルを奪取した。
　１０代の名人は史上初。１９歳１１カ月での７大タイトル獲得は、井山裕太４冠（３０）が同じ名人戦で達成した２０歳４カ月の最年少記録を１０年ぶりに更新した。
　芝野新名人は神奈川県出身で、２０１４年に１４歳で入段（プロ入り）。１７年、竜星戦で優勝し、七段昇段。同年、史上最年少の１７歳１１カ月で名人戦リーグ入りした。昨年は日中竜星戦で世界最強棋士の一人、中国の柯潔九段を破って優勝した。
　今期の名人戦リーグは６勝２敗で首位に並んだ河野臨九段（３８）とのプレーオフを制し、入段から４年１１カ月の史上最速で７大タイトル挑戦を決めた。７番勝負は初戦を落としたが、その後は４連勝で押し切った。入段から５年１カ月での７大タイトル獲得も史上最速記録となった。芝野新名人はタイトル移動日の９日付で九段に昇段する。
　記者会見した芝野新名人は「（２０歳に）ほとんど近いが、１０代で良かった」と笑顔を見せ、「井山先生のようにどんどんタイトルを取っていけたら」と語った。（2019/10/08-20:30）

Toramaru Shibano, 19, has won the Meijin title by defeating Cho U, 39, becoming the first teenager to gain a Japanese professional go title.
   Shibano achieved his first victory over a title holder with four wins and one loss in a best-of-seven competition of the 44th Meijin tournament of the traditional board game held Tuesday in Atami, Shizuoka Prefecture.
   Aged 19 years and 11 months, Shibano rewrote for the first time in 10 years the record of the youngest title winner struck by four-title holder Yuta Iyama, 30, when he was 20 years and four months old.
   After Tuesday's victory, Shibano rose to the rank of ninth dan from eighth Wednesday.
   Born in the eastern Japan prefecture of Kanagawa, Shibano became a professional player at 14 in 2014. He climbed to seventh dan following his victory in the Ryusei tournament in 2017.
