父親に懲役１８年求刑＝「怒りで虐待、悪質」－目黒女児死亡・東京地裁

　東京都目黒区で２０１８年、船戸結愛ちゃん＝当時（５）＝が虐待死した事件で、傷害と保護責任者遺棄致死などの罪に問われた父親の雄大被告（３４）の裁判員裁判の論告求刑公判が７日、東京地裁（守下実裁判長）であった。検察側は「自己に従わない怒りで虐待し、この上なく悪質」と指弾し、懲役１８年を求刑した。弁護側は最終弁論で懲役９年が相当と訴え結審した。判決は１５日。
　検察側は論告で、結愛ちゃんは母親優里被告（２７）＝懲役８年、控訴＝の連れ子で、雄大被告は１６年１１月ごろに暴力を振るい始め、一家が香川県から目黒区に転居した１８年１月２３日ごろから苛烈な食事制限をしたと主張。「３９日間で体重の約２５％を失った」とした。
　さらに、優里被告を「説教で共犯者に引き入れ、夫婦で児童相談所の接触も拒否した」と指摘。「２月２４～２６日には風呂場で１０回以上殴打した。２７日に『１２キロ台はやばい』などと命の危険を感じたのに、病院に連れて行かなかった」とし、「一体子どもを何と思っているのか。結愛ちゃんは逃げることもできず、絶望しかなかった」と厳しく非難した。
　弁護側は２月下旬の暴行を認めつつ、「親であろうという気持ちが根底にあった」と主張。「被告が命の危険を認識したのは（死亡前日の）３月１日だった」と訴えた。雄大被告は最終意見陳述で、すすり泣きながら「本当に、本当に申し訳ありませんでした」と声を絞り出し、何度も頭を下げた。
　起訴状によると、雄大被告は１８年１月下旬から結愛ちゃんを栄養失調に陥らせ、２月下旬には風呂場で顔を殴打。優里被告と共謀して医療措置を受けさせず、３月２日、肺炎を発症させるなどして死亡させたとされる。（2019/10/07-11:47）

Public prosecutors on Monday demanded a prison term of 18 years for a 34-year-old stepfather over the abuse death of then five-year-old Yua Funato in Tokyo last year.
   In closing arguments at Tokyo District Court, the prosecutors accused the stepfather, Yudai, of mistreating Yua from anger at her disobedience toward him and denounced his actions as "absolutely malicious."
   "I'm really, really sorry," a weeping Yudai said in his final statement to the court. The defense claimed that a nine-year term for the accused would be reasonable.
   Hearings of his lay judge trial finished on Monday, with the verdict set to be handed down on Oct. 15.
   In the high-profile abuse case, the victim's mother, Yuri, 27, was sentenced to eight years in prison last month. She has appealed the sentence.
