大阪・関西万博、１３日開幕　「いのち」テーマに１８４日間―石破首相「分断の危機」打破訴え・開会式

　大阪・関西万博の開会式が１２日午後、会場の人工島「夢洲」（大阪市）で開かれた。あいさつした石破茂首相は「世界はさまざまな分断の危機に直面している」とした上で、「会期を通じ各国、来場者相互の交流が進み、世界が再び結びつくことを期待してやまない」と訴えた。万博は１３日に開幕する。会期は１０月１３日までの１８４日間。
　テーマは「いのち輝く未来社会のデザイン」で、持続可能な開発目標（ＳＤＧｓ）に向けた解決策などを世界に発信する。１５８カ国・地域がパビリオンを出展し、来場者数は推計２８２０万人。経済波及効果は２兆９０００億円に上ると見込まれ、インバウンド（訪日客）の増加も期待される。
　式典は会場内のＥＸＰＯホール「シャインハット」で行われ、天皇、皇后両陛下や政府関係者、参加国の代表ら計約１３００人が出席。天皇陛下は「子どもたちが世界の国や地域、人々への理解を深め、ＳＤＧｓの達成に向けた世界の取り組みなどにも触れることにより、未来の社会について考えることを願っています」と述べられた。名誉総裁の秋篠宮さま、同妃紀子さまも同席した。
　式典では世界的な指揮者、佐渡裕さんによるオーケストラ演奏や歌舞伎俳優、尾上菊之助さんらのパフォーマンスが行われ、人気デュオ「コブクロ」は万博テーマソングを披露。若者を中心に人気の４人組ダンスボーカルユニット「新しい学校のリーダーズ」らも登場し、会場を盛り上げた。
　１３日は午前９時に開場。約１４万人の来場が見込まれ、日中は混雑が予想される。入場券は事前予約した電子チケットが原則だが、同日は午後５時以降入場できる当日券を同４時から販売する。
　海外パビリオンを巡り、日本国際博覧会協会は１２日夜、インド、チリ、ネパール、ベトナム、ブルネイの５カ国について、工事中などを理由に「当分の間、閉館予定」と発表した。（2025/04/12-22:03）

An opening ceremony was held on Saturday for the 2025 World Exposition in the western Japan city of Osaka, which will open on Sunday for a 184-day run.
   A total of 1,500 people, including Emperor Naruhito and Empress Masako, as well as Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba and representatives from participating countries, attended the ceremony at the Shining Hat hall in the Expo venue on Yumeshima, an artificial island.
   Under the theme "Designing Future Society for Our Lives," the event will propose solutions to achieve the U.N. Sustainable Development Goals.
   A total of 158 countries and regions are participating in the Expo, and the cumulative number of visitors is expected to reach about 28.2 million. Its economic benefits are estimated at 2.9 trillion yen.
   The Expo will open at 9 a.m. on Sunday, and about 140,000 visitors are expected on the first day. In principle, admission tickets are electronic and reserved in advance, but same-day tickets will be available from 4 p.m. for entry after 5 p.m.
