九州電、世界最大級の植物工場建設へ＝豊前発電所活用、２２年度稼働目標
植物工場で生産するレタスを披露する九州電力の池辺和弘社長＝２５日午後、福岡市
九州電力は２５日、豊前発電所（福岡県豊前市）の遊休地を活用して無農薬のレタスを栽培する世界最大級の植物工場の事業化に向け、検討を始めると発表した。２０２０年３月までに事業性評価などを行った上で、２１年度の着工、２２年度の稼働を目指している。（2019/09/25-19:01）

Kyushu Electric Eyes World's Biggest Lettuce Factory
Kyushu Electric Power Co. said Wednesday it is considering setting up the world's largest factory to produce chemical-free lettuce in the southwestern Japan prefecture of Fukuoka.
The factory would be built on unused space within the compound of a power station in the city of Buzen if judged feasible.
