家計支出、４．８％減　駆け込み反動と暖冬―昨年１２月

　総務省が７日発表した２０１９年１２月の家計調査によると、１世帯（２人以上）当たりの消費支出は３２万１３８０円となり、物価変動の影響を除いた実質で前年同月比４．８％減少した。マイナスは３カ月連続。消費税増税に伴う駆け込み需要の反動減に加え、暖冬の影響で暖房器具や冬物衣料などが減少した。
　項目別で見ると、消費支出１０項目のうち、「保健医療」を除く９項目がマイナス。特に設備修繕・維持など「住居」は１７．４％減と大きく落ち込んだ。消費税増税のほか暖冬の影響でエアコンやストーブなどが振るわず、「家具・家事用品」は１３．３％減、コートや下着など「被服および履物」は１１．１％減と低迷した。
　天皇誕生日の祝日だった「１２月２３日」が平日となり消費機会が減ったことも、外食やガソリン支出が減少する要因となった。
　総務省は「（駆け込みの）反動減から持ち直す動きは維持されているが、今後の動向には注視が必要だ」（統計調査部）と指摘した。（2020/02/07-11:29）

Consumption spending by households in Japan in December fell 4.8 pct from a year earlier to 321,380 yen in price-adjusted real terms, down for the third consecutive month, the internal affairs ministry said Friday.
   The drop reflected reduced spending on heating equipment and seasonal clothing due to a warm winter and a pullback in demand after a last-minute rise before the consumption tax hike to 10 pct from 8 pct in October.
   Spending fell in nine of the 10 categories except health care, according to the data covering households comprising two or more members. Housing-related expenditures, including on refurbishment and maintenance, plunged 17.4 pct.
   Spending on furniture and household items tumbled 13.3 pct reflecting sluggish demand for air conditioners and heaters because of the tax hike and the warm winter. Expenditures on clothing and footwear, including coats, were down 11.1 pct.
   With Dec. 23, the birthday of Emperor Emeritus Akihito, no longer a public holiday following his abdication at the end of April last year, spending dropped for such items as eating out and gasoline.
