曙ブレーキ、世界６工場閉鎖＝国内は岡山、福島も縮小－再生計画承認

　経営再建中の自動車部品大手、曙ブレーキ工業は１８日、世界６工場を閉鎖すると発表した。国内では曙ブレーキ山陽製造（岡山県総社市、従業員約５００人）が対象となる。曙ブレーキ福島製造（福島県桑折町、同約３００人）も生産体制を縮小する。いずれも配置転換などで対応する見通し。生産効率を高め、採算を改善したい考え。
　同日の債権者会議で、工場閉鎖などを盛り込んだ事業再生計画が承認された。有利子負債圧縮のため、取引銀行団に要請していた総額５６０億円の債権放棄も認められた。工場閉鎖は、再生計画の期限である２０２４年６月末までに実施する。
　海外の工場閉鎖は、米国３工場、フランスとスロバキアの各１工場が対象。英国とドイツの研究開発拠点も閉鎖する。（2019/09/18-18:28）

Embattled Japanese auto parts maker Akebono Brake Industry Co. said Wednesday that it will close six plants at home and abroad to rebuild its business.
The plant closures are part of the company's turnaround program that was accepted at a meeting of its creditors the same day. They also approved the firm's request for 56-billion-yen debt forgiveness to reduce its interest-bearing liabilities.
