日中外相、４日にも会談　カンボジア訪問に合わせ

　カンボジアのプノンペンで開かれる東南アジア諸国連合（ＡＳＥＡＮ）関連外相会議に合わせ、林芳正外相と中国の王毅国務委員兼外相による日中外相会談が４日にも開催されることになった。両政府が最終調整していた。両国間に横たわる諸懸案について日本側の立場を伝えつつ、９月２９日の国交正常化５０年を前に意思疎通の重要性を確認したい考えだ。
　林氏は王氏と５月にテレビ会談を行っているが、日中外相が対面で会うのは２０２０年１１月以来１年９カ月ぶりとなる。林氏の就任後は初めて。（2022/08/02-20:10）

Japan and China are working to arrange a meeting of their foreign ministers, Japanese government officials said Tuesday.
   The planned meeting is expected to take place on the sidelines of a series of foreign ministers' meetings related to the Association of Southeast Asian Nations, to be held in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, from Wednesday, according to the officials.
   The Japanese side aims to confirm the significance of communications with the Chinese side ahead of the 50th anniversary of the normalization of the two countries' diplomatic relations on Sept. 29, while showing its concerns over pending bilateral issues.
   In May, Japanese Foreign Minister Yoshimasa Hayashi and his Chinese counterpart, Wang Yi, held a teleconference.
   The last time Japanese and Chinese foreign ministers met in person was in November 2020. The planned meeting will be Hayashi's first in-person meeting with Wang since Hayashi took office in November last year.
