投票率、５２．０５％　期日前は最多１９６１万人【２２参院選】

　時事通信の１１日午前２時４５分現在の集計によると、参院選の投票率は５２．０５％となった。補選を除く国政選挙として戦後２回目の「５０％割れ」となった２０１９年の前回参院選の４８．８０％から増加した。
　投票率は４１都道府県で１９年を上回った。最高は山形県の６１．８７％、最低は徳島県の４５．７２％だった。安倍晋三元首相の銃撃死亡事件が起きた奈良県は５５．９０％で、１９年と比べ６．３７ポイント増えた。
　総務省によると、全体の１８．６０％に当たる１９６１万４０５０人が期日前に投票した。今回は通例より選挙期間が１日長く単純比較できないが、１９年の前回より１４．９５％増え、４４都道府県で前回を上回った。
　期日前投票は全国約６２００カ所、当日の投票は約４万６０００カ所の投票所で行われている。
　総務省はまた、期日前投票者数の中間状況について、訂正を発表。６月２６日までの４日間で２１７万５２５６人（発表済み人数より１０人減）、７月３日までの１１日間で７７８万６７９１人（同７６人減）、同８日までの１６日間で１６１２万１６３９人（同４５４人減）だった。（2022/07/11-12:39）

The number of people who cast their ballots for Sunday's House of Councillors poll in Japan under the early voting system totaled 19,613,956, a record high for an election for the upper chamber of the Diet, the country's parliament, the internal affairs ministry said.
   The number of early voters during the 17 days from June 23, the day after the 18-day official campaign period began, through Saturday was up 14.95 pct from the figure for the previous Upper House election in 2019, the ministry said. The previous election had 16 days for early voters.
   The early voters for Sunday's election accounted for 18.60 pct of all voters. Early voting increased in 44 of the country's 47 prefectures, with Chiba Prefecture marking a rise of nearly 30 pct.
   Japan opened about 6,200 polling stations for early voters nationwide this time, while some 46,000 stations were set up for Sunday's balloting.
   Separately, the ministry corrected the interim results of early voting. The number of early voters was revised down by 10 to 2,175,256 for the four days through June 26, by 76 to 7,786,791 for the 11 days through July 3 and by 454 to 16,121,639 for the 16 days through Friday.
