埼玉で豚コレラ確認＝関東初、秩父の養豚場－農水省

　農林水産省は１３日、埼玉県秩父市の養豚場で家畜伝染病「豚コレラ」が発生したと発表した。昨年９月、岐阜市で２６年ぶりに発生が確認されて以来、４１例目。関東地方で確認されたのは今回が初めてとなる。
　農水省などによると、この養豚場から山梨県内の食肉処理施設に出荷された豚が死ぬなど異常な症状を示したため、同県と国が検査したところ、１３日に陽性反応が出て感染が確定した。埼玉県も秩父市の養豚場を立ち入り検査した結果、陽性を確認した。
　埼玉県は養豚場が飼育する６７８頭について、速やかに殺処分する。山梨県の食肉施設では操業を停止し、残った全ての豚肉を廃棄するとともに、洗浄や消毒を徹底する。両県は１３日夜、知事をトップとする対策本部を設置。埼玉県の大野元裕知事は「まん延防止と早期収束を目指し、全庁を挙げて対応に当たる」と述べた。
　豚コレラの豚への感染はこれまで、岐阜、愛知、三重、福井、滋賀、長野、大阪の１府６県で確認。埼玉に隣接する長野県では、野生イノシシでの感染例が複数見つかっている。（2019/09/13-21:14）

Japan's agriculture ministry said Friday that swine fever infections have occurred at a pig farm in the city of Chichibu, Saitama Prefecture, part of the country's Kanto eastern region, which also includes Tokyo.
   It is the first time that a swine fever case has been confirmed in Kanto since the first outbreak of the infectious disease in the country in 26 years was detected in September last year, in the central prefecture of Gifu.
   The latest outbreak marked the 41st case of swine fever since the confirmation of the Gifu case.
   After some of pigs shipped from the Chichibu farm to a meat-processing facility in Yamanashi Prefecture, southwest of Saitama, died or showed abnormal symptoms, the central government and the Yamanashi prefectural government conducted a test on the pigs for possible swine fever infection, according to officials of the ministry.
   Infections were confirmed Friday, with the test showing positive results, the officials said. The Saitama prefectural government also confirmed the outbreak through its on-site inspection of the farm.
