元農水次官に懲役６年　「医師らに相談できた」―長男殺害「短絡的」・東京地裁

　東京都練馬区の自宅で長男＝当時（４４）＝を殺害したとして、殺人罪に問われた元農林水産事務次官の熊沢英昭被告（７６）の裁判員裁判の判決が１６日、東京地裁であった。中山大行裁判長は「長男の暴力を主治医らに相談するなど対処方法があった」と述べ、懲役６年（求刑懲役８年）を言い渡した。
　中山裁判長は、被告は事件の１週間前に長男との同居を始め、翌日に暴行を受けたことから、「殺すこともあり得ると考え始めた」と指摘。その後、無理心中をほのめかす手紙を妻に渡すなどし、長男の言動など何らかのきっかけで殺害を決意したと述べた。
　発達障害だった長男と「長年別居しつつも関係を築く努力をしてきた」とする一方、「主治医や警察に相談するなど現実的な対処方法があったのにしなかった」とした。
　同居から１週間で殺害を実行した点を「短絡的」と非難。ただ、自首したことや背景に長男の暴力があったことを踏まえ、「同種事案の中では重い部類に属するとは言えない」とし、酌量の余地があると述べた。
　弁護側は「長男から殺すと言われた。身を守るため包丁を取りに行った」と主張したが、中山裁判長は「傷の状況などから、抵抗を受ける前に一方的に攻撃を加えた」と退けた。
　熊沢被告は証言台に座ったまま身じろぎせず、主文を聞き終えると小さくうなずいた。裁判長らに向かって頭を下げ、退廷する際は肩を落としていた。
　判決によると、熊沢被告は６月１日午後３時１５分ごろ、練馬区の自宅１階和室で、長男英一郎さんの首や胸を多数回包丁で刺して殺害した。
　熊沢被告は２００１～０２年、農水次官としてＢＳＥ（牛海綿状脳症）問題の対応に当たり、チェコ大使も務めた。（2019/12/16-18:23）

Tokyo District Court on Monday sentenced a former Japanese vice agriculture minister to six years in prison for killing his 44-year-old son at his home in Tokyo in June.
   The prosecutor side had sought a prison term of eight years, while the defense side, admitting the charges against Hideaki Kumazawa, 76, had demanded a suspended prison term.
   During the hearings in Kumazawa's lay judge trial, the prosecutor side said that his son, Eiichiro, started living with the father on May 25 and used violence against him the following day.
   "Kumazawa, who had empathetically taken care of his son with developmental disorder, became disappointed and started to think about murdering him," the prosecutors said.
   Noting that Kumazawa was almost unharmed, while Eiichiro had more than 36 wounds on his body, the prosecutors said that the defendant "caught off Eiichiro's guard and one-sidedly attacked him with strong murderous intent."
