ＪＤＩ、白山工場の停止延長＝有機ＥＬ量産への活用も

　経営再建中の中小型液晶パネル大手のジャパンディスプレイ（ＪＤＩ）は１３日、主力の白山工場（石川県白山市）について、９月末までとしていた稼働停止期間を延長すると発表した。最大顧客である米アップルからの受注動向などを踏まえ、「利益を創出するだけの需要増は見込めない」と判断した。
　ＪＤＩは６月、スマートフォン向けパネルを生産する白山工場に関し、受注減のため７月から９月末まで停止することを決定した。同社は今回、停止延長を決める一方、金融支援を受ける中国・香港企業連合から同工場を有機ＥＬ（エレクトロルミネッセンス）パネルの量産拠点として活用する提案を受けていることを公表。企業連合との協議を踏まえ、２０１９年度中に方針を確定するとした。
　ＪＤＩは同工場が再稼働しなかった場合、１００億～２００億円の特別損失を見込んでいたが、再稼働の可能性があるとし「７～９月期に取引先への違約金などは発生しない」と説明した。（2019/09/13-20:00）

JDI Extends Halt to Hakusan Plant Operations

Japan Display Inc. will extend the suspension of operations at its mainstay plant in Hakusan, Ishikawa Prefecture, central Japan, it was learned Friday.
The plant, which produces display panels for smartphones, was originally planned to be halted from July to the end of September due to declining orders. The period was extended, reflecting the trend of orders from its largest customer, Apple Inc., informed sources said.
