カナダ油砂事業から撤退　特別損失９００億円―石油資源開発

　石油資源開発は２９日、カナダのオイルサンド（油砂）事業から撤退すると発表した。同社は「世界的な脱炭素化の進展など事業を取り巻く環境が厳しくなる状況を踏まえた」と説明している。
　事業撤退に伴い、２０２２年３月期連結決算で約９００億円の特別損失を計上するほか、藤田昌宏社長らが役員報酬の一部を返納する。（2021/07/29-16:32）

Japan Petroleum Exploration Co. , or JAPEX, said Thursday that it will withdraw from an oil sands project in Canada.
The resources developer said that the move comes as the business environment is expected to become "even more severe" due in part to the "acceleration of the global decarbonization."
