日本人が１、２位　ベルギーのサックス国際大会

　【ディナン（ベルギー）時事】サクソフォンを発明したアドルフ・サックス生誕の地であるベルギー南部ディナンで９日まで行われた「第７回アドルフ・サックス国際コンクール」で、東京都足立区出身の齊藤健太さん（２７）が優勝した。日本人の栄冠は２００２年大会の原博巳さん（今年８月に死去）以来、２人目。
　また神奈川県横須賀市出身の小澤瑠衣さん（３０）が、女性としてコンクール史上初の２位となった。６位には愛知県一宮市出身の袴田美帆さん（２５）が入賞した。
　同コンクールはサックスの死後１００年を記念し１９９４年に始まり、原則４年に１度開かれている。クラシック・サクソフォンの国際大会では最高峰の一つとして知られている。
　齊藤さんは受賞後、取材に応じ「とにかくうれしい。泣いてしまいました」と喜びをかみしめた。サクソフォンは一般的にジャズのイメージが強いが、「クラシックの音や作品の素晴らしさをコンサートを通じて伝えていきたい」と今後の意気込みを語った。
　サクソフォンは中学１年の時に始めたという。洗足学園音楽大卒業後、東京芸大でも学び、昨年はスロベニアで開かれたサクソフォンの国際コンクールで２位となっている。（2019/11/10-11:14）

Japanese saxophonists finished first and second in the seventh Adolphe Sax International Competition, held in Belgium through Saturday.
   Kenta Saito, 27, from Tokyo won the first prize, held in Dinant, southern Belgium, the birthplace of Adolphe Sax, the inventor of the saxophone. Saito is the second Japanese to win the competition, after the late Hiroshi Hara in 2002.
   Rui Ozawa, 30, from Yokosuka, Kanagawa Prefecture, south of Tokyo, won the second prize, becoming the first woman to come second in the competition.
   Miho Hakamada, 25, from Ichinomiya, Aichi Prefecture, central Japan, was sixth.
   The competition was launched in 1994 to mark the centennial of the death of Sax and has been held every four years in principle. It is known as one of the most prestigious international classical saxophone contests.
