除染廃棄物の捜索難航＝３６袋未回収、ドローン投入も－福島

　台風１９号による大雨で、東京電力福島第１原発事故の除染廃棄物を詰めた袋が、福島県内の複数の仮置き場から河川に流出し、回収が難航している。環境省や県などは、ヘリコプターやドローンも投入して捜索を続けるが、地形の険しさなどに阻まれ、３週間以上たってもなお、流出した９０袋のうち３６袋の行方が分かっていない。
　大雨で仮置き場が冠水し、川内村で４４袋、田村市で３０袋、二本松市で１５袋、飯舘村で１袋が付近の川に流れ出た。１０月３１日までに５０袋を回収したものの、うち２５袋は中身が漏れ出ていた。田村市の担当者は「想定外の大雨で、除染廃棄物の袋をカバーで覆う対策を取っていなかった」と話す。

　流出の判明後、環境省などは連日２０～３０人態勢で捜している。川を約２キロごとにエリア分けし、下流へと捜索範囲を広げた。職員らが川に入り、立ち入れない場所ではドローンを活用。１０月２３日にはヘリを飛ばし、上空からも調査した。
　流出現場となった田村市の古道川では１日、環境省や県、市の職員らによる一斉捜索が行われた。参加した２９人が５班に分かれ、１１．６キロにわたって水中や川沿いを捜した。新たに４袋を回収したが、いずれも中身はなくなっていた。
　環境省は「流出による環境への影響は確認されていない。自治体と連携し、引き続き捜索を進める」としている。（2019/11/04-13:22）

Dozens of bags containing waste polluted with radioactive substances remain missing in Fukushima Prefecture three weeks after they were swept away from storage space due to flooding from Typhoon Hagibis.
   Of the 90 bags lost, 36 remain missing. The Environment Ministry, the northeastern Japan prefecture and others are conducting extensive searches without much luck.
   In many municipalities in Fukushima, a lot of such waste, including soil, was generated through decontamination work after the nuclear disaster at Tokyo Electric Power Company Holdings Inc.'s Fukushima No. 1 power plant in the prefecture.
   Numerous bags containing the waste are kept outdoors on temporary storage space across the prefecture.
   Heavy rains from the 19th typhoon of the year flooded storage space in many places. Forty-four bags were lost in Kawauchi, 30 in Tamura, 15 in Nihonmatsu and one in Iitate.
