ハノイでスマートシティー開発＝総事業費４５００億円－住友商事

　【ハノイ時事】住友商事は６日、ベトナムの不動産大手ＢＲＧグループと共同で、ＩＴなど最先端技術をまちづくりに生かした「スマートシティー」開発に関する式典を開いた。両社の折半出資で合弁会社を設立し、ハノイ市中心部とノイバイ国際空港の間に位置するドンアイン区で、総事業費４２億ドル（約４５００億円）の大型プロジェクトを推進する。
　住商の兵頭誠之社長は、「ハノイ市の持続的な発展に貢献できるよう、全社を挙げて取り組む」と強調。ファム・ホン・ハー建設相も「早期の実現を期待する」と語った。式典にはグエン・スアン・フック首相も同席した。
　住商とＢＲＧは来年中の建設開始を目指す。第１期から５段階にわたる計画で、ＩＴによる効率的な電力管理や顔認証技術を使ったセキュリティー確保など、さまざな技術を組み合わせて住みやすいまちづくりを進める。（2019/10/06-16:56）

Japanese trader Sumitomo Corp. and Vietnamese conglomerate BRG Group on Sunday held a ceremony to mark their 4.2-billion-dollar project to develop a smart city in Hanoi.
   The two sides will set up a fifty-fifty joint venture to develop the smart city in the Dong Anh district, which lies between downtown Hanoi and Noi Bai International Airport.
   "We'll strive across our company so that we can contribute to the sustainable development of Hanoi," Sumitomo President Masayuki Hyodo said at the ceremony.
   Vietnamese Construction Minister Pham Hong Ha expressed hope that the project will be realized early. The ceremony was also attended by Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc.
   Sumitomo and the BRG Group plan to start construction work next year. The five-phase project features efficient management of electricity through information technology and enhanced security using face recognition systems.
