日立金属、社長ら５人引責辞任　親会社出身の会長が兼務―品質不正

　日立製作所の上場子会社である日立金属は２７日、佐藤光司社長（５８）ら取締役・執行役計５人が５月末で退任すると発表した。先月公表した品質検査不正を受けて引責する。社長職は日立製作所出身の西山光秋執行役会長（６３）が兼務する。
　電話会議形式で記者会見した西山会長は「（不正）当時の執行役で、是正すべき立場にあった。会社の置かれた状況を協議したところ、本人たちから辞任の申し出があった」と説明した。（2020/05/27-18:11）

Hitachi Metals Ltd. has said that President Koji Sato, 58, and four other executives will step down at the end of May to take responsibility for a quality test falsification scandal.
Chairman Mitsuaki Nishiyama, 63, who is from Japanese machinery giant Hitachi Ltd. , the parent of Hitachi Metals, will concurrently serve as president, according to the announcement on Wednesday.
