放課後の居場所、友人宅減る　小３、学童保育が大幅増―厚労省調査

　「友達の家に遊びに行ってくる！」。小学生にありがちなこうした光景が１０年前よりも減っていることが、厚生労働省の調査で分かった。代わって増えた居場所は学童保育（放課後児童クラブ）。同省は、働く親の増加が背景にあるとみている。
　厚労省は昨年５月、２０１０年５月生まれの小学３年生を対象に調査し、２万４２０４人から回答を得た。
　放課後に過ごす場所を複数回答で尋ねたところ、友達の家は２９．１％。１０年に行った調査の５０．６％から減少した。
　一方、大幅に増加したのが学童保育で、１０年時点の１４．０％から２６．３％となった。
　背景と考えられるのが働く親の増加だ。同調査によると、児童の母親で働いている割合は１０年時点の６３．８％から、昨年は７５．０％に増えた。（2020/05/18-14:18）

An increasing proportion of elementary school third-graders in Japan stay at child care centers after school rather than at friends' homes, a labor ministry survey has shown.
   The change in their behavior is believed to reflect a rise in the number of double-income parents, the ministry said.
   The survey, conducted in May last year, covered elementary school third-graders born in May 2010. Answers were given by 24,204 children.
   Asked where they spend their time after school, with multiple answers allowed, 29.1 pct of the respondents said they stay at friends' homes, down from 50.6 pct in a survey in 2010.
   By contrast, the proportion that answered after-school child centers increased to 26.3 pct from 14.0 pct.
