日銀総裁、利上げに言及　２％実現近づけば

　植田和男日銀総裁は２３日午前の参院財政金融委員会で、２％物価上昇目標の持続的・安定的な実現の可能性が一段と高まっていけば「短期金利を引き上げていく」と表明した。ただ、「具体的にどういうタイミングで、どういう幅でということは、現在予断を持ってはいない」とも説明した。（2024/04/23-12:25）

BOJ Governor Hints at Rate Hike

Bank of Japan Governor Kazuo Ueda said Tuesday the Japanese central bank will raise short-term interest rates if the possibility of the economy achieving the bank's 2 pct inflation target sustainably and stably grows further.
Speaking at a meeting of the House of Councillors Financial Affairs Committee, Ueda also said he has not yet decided the timing or size of the rate hike.
"If the underlying inflation rate continues to rise toward 2 pct in line with the central bank's outlook, the BOJ will adjust the degree of monetary easing," he said.
