海自ヘリ２機墜落、空中衝突か　１人死亡、７人不明―伊豆諸島周辺で訓練中・防衛省

　２０日夜、東京・伊豆諸島の鳥島東約２８０キロの洋上で訓練していた海上自衛隊のヘリコプター「ＳＨ―６０Ｋ」２機が行方不明となった。フライトレコーダーなどが近接した場所で見つかり、防衛省は２機が墜落したと断定。空中で衝突した可能性があるとみて、詳しい状況を調べている。
　２機には計８人が搭乗しており、このうち１人が救助されたが、死亡が確認された。自衛隊は艦艇１２隻とヘリ、航空機計７機に加え、海上保安庁の応援も得て残る７人の捜索を続けている。
　同省によると、２０日午後１０時３８分に長崎県の大村航空基地に所属する１機と連絡が取れなくなり、同３９分に緊急信号を受信。午後１１時４分には、徳島県の小松島航空基地所属のもう１機とも連絡が付かないことが判明した。この機体からの信号は確認できていないが、近接地点で同時に発信したため、重複している可能性もあるという。
　現場周辺の捜索では、両機のフライトレコーダーのほか、ローターブレードなど機体の一部が発見、回収された。詳しい通信記録などの解析を急ぐ。
　２機とも、正副操縦士とレーダーやソナーを操作する航空士２人の計４人がそれぞれ搭乗。ソナーで潜水艦を探知する夜間対潜水艦戦訓練を行っていた。周辺には訓練に参加していた海自の艦艇と航空機以外はいなかったという。
　木原稔防衛相は２１日未明に緊急会見し「墜落したと考えられる原因は不明だが、まずは人命の救出に全力を尽くす」と話した。（2024/04/21-10:21）

Two Japanese Maritime Self-Defense Force helicopters are believed to have crashed as they went missing while flying in the Pacific south of Tokyo Saturday night, Defense Ministry officials said.
   One of eight crew members aboard the two SH-60K helicopters was rescued, while the SDF is continuing its search for the other seven using eight destroyers and five aircraft, according to the ministry. The condition of the rescued crew member is unknown.
   Fragments believed to be of the helicopters were found.
   "What caused the incident is still unknown, and we're now focusing on saving lives," Defense Minister Minoru Kihara said at a press conference in the early hours of Sunday.
   One of the SH-60Ks, which belongs to the MSDF's Omura air base in the southwestern prefecture of Nagasaki, lost contact at 10:38 p.m. on Saturday, and an emergency signal was received from the helicopter at 10:39 p.m., according to the ministry.
