景気動向指数、１．２ポイント低下　車不振、基調判断も引き下げ―内閣府

　内閣府が５日発表した２月の景気動向指数（２０２０年＝１００）速報値は、景気の現状を示す一致指数が前月比１．２ポイント低下の１１０．９となり２カ月連続で悪化した。ダイハツ工業などの認証不正問題による自動車の生産・出荷停止が影響した。内閣府は基調判断を２カ月連続で引き下げ、１９年２月以来となる「下方への局面変化」に改めた。（2024/04/05-17:54）

Japan's composite index of coincident economic indicators dropped 1.2 points in February from the previous month, buffeted by suspensions of vehicle production and shipments amid testing scandals involving companies including Daihatsu Motor Co., the Cabinet Office said Friday.
   The coincident index, which reflects current economic conditions, stood at 110.9 against the 2020 base of 100, falling for the second straight month, the government agency said in a preliminary report.
   The agency lowered its assessment on the index for the second straight month, saying it is "signaling a possible turning point."
   The assessment suggests that the economic expansion has reached a peak in the past few months and the economy has already started a downturn.
   Of the eight component indicators of the preliminary report stage, six made negative contributions to the index. The remaining two indicators, linked to commercial sales, contributed positively due to the leap year.
