景気動向指数、０．１ポイント上昇　判断「改善」維持―８月

　内閣府が６日発表した８月の景気動向指数（２０２０年＝１００）速報値は、景気の現状を示す一致指数が前月比０．１ポイント上昇の１１４．３で、２カ月ぶりに改善した。普通乗用車などの出荷がけん引した。基調判断は「改善を示している」に据え置いた。（2023/10/06-16:19）

Japan Coincident Economic Index Improves in Aug.

Japan's composite index of coincident economic indicators in August rose 0.1 point from the previous month, following a 1.4-point drop in July, the Cabinet Office said Friday.
   The rise was led by growth in passenger vehicle shipments.
   The coincident index, which reflects current economic conditions, stood at 114.3 against 100 for the base year of 2020, the Cabinet Office said in a preliminary report.
   The government agency kept unchanged its view that the index is "improving."
   Six of the eight component indicators reflected in the preliminary report contributed positively to the August index. Shipments also grew for electronic parts and devices, such as semiconductor parts.
