ジャニーズ本社の看板撤去　ファン「さみしいが応援続ける」

　東京都港区のジャニーズ事務所本社ビルに掲げられていた英文表記の社名看板が６日までに、撤去された。５日から作業を進めていた。
　同事務所は創業者の故ジャニー喜多川氏の性加害問題を受け、１７日付で社名を「ＳＭＩＬＥ―ＵＰ．（スマイルアップ）」に変更。「ジャニーズ」の名前は関連会社や所属グループ名からも無くす方針を表明している。
　青森市から訪れた女性（４１）は中学３年の娘（１４）と「今こそ来なければ」と前日に上京。横浜市での「Ｋｉｓ―Ｍｙ―Ｆｔ２」のツアー初日に参加し、社名看板を「最後に見納めて帰ろうと思ったが、（撤去され）残念だった。社名変更はさみしいが、仕方ないことかな。ファンとしてはこれからも応援したい」。小学１年から一緒にライブに通う娘も「（同グループを）一生推し続けようと思う」と話した。（2023/10/06-15:22）

Scandal-tainted Japanese talent agency Johnny & Associates Inc. has taken down the name sign from its headquarters building in Tokyo's Minato Ward.
   Work to remove the signboard had been underway since Thursday.
   At a press conference Monday, Johnny & Associates, under fire for sexual abuse of member performers by its late founder, Johnny Kitagawa, said that it will change its name to "Smile-Up." on Oct. 17. The company also said that the name "Johnny" will disappear from all affiliated firms and performer groups.
   A 41-year-old fan and her daughter, 14, from the northeastern Japan city of Aomori came to see the headquarters building after attending a concert of Johnny & Associates performer group Kis-My-Ft2 in Yokohama, near Tokyo.
   They have attended live concerts of Johnny & Associates performers together since the daughter entered elementary school. "We'd hoped to catch one last glimpse (of the signboard) before returning home, and it's a shame (that the board has already been removed)," the mother said.
