８月消費支出、２．５％減　６カ月連続マイナスも減少幅縮小―総務省

　総務省が６日発表した８月の家計調査によると、２人以上の世帯の消費支出は１世帯当たり２９万３１６１円と、物価変動の影響を除いた実質で前年同月比２．５％減少した。マイナスは６カ月連続。食料向けなどが落ち込む一方、外出関連の支出拡大で減少幅は前月（５．０％減）から縮小した。
　魚介類や肉類を中心に食料は２．５％減少した。マスクや体温計の需要の減少などを受け、保健医療も１１．２％減少した。このほか携帯電話の格安プランの契約数増加の影響もあり、通信向け支出は１２．２％減った。
　一方、外出関連の支出は好調で、飲酒代などが伸びた外食は１５．２％増。夏休みで鉄道・航空運賃を含む交通向け支出は３２．７％、パック旅行費を含む教養娯楽サービスは５．４％それぞれ増加した。（2023/10/06-11:00）

Japanese household spending in August fell 2.5 pct from a year before in price-adjusted real terms, reflecting lower spending on food, government data showed Friday.
   Consumption spending by households with two or more members averaged 293,161 yen, falling for the sixth straight month, the internal affairs ministry said.
   The drop was smaller than 5.0 pct in July as people spent more on outing-related services, such as dining out and travel.
   In August, expenditures on food fell 2.5 pct year on year, with spending on fish and meat decreasing.
   Spending on health care was down 11.2 pct as demand shrank for face masks and thermometers. Telecom-related spending dropped 12.2 pct due to the popularity of budget mobile plans.
