手製銃、射程１００メートル超か　外壁に穴、高い殺傷能力―安倍元首相銃撃・奈良県警

　安倍晋三元首相が奈良市で街頭演説中に銃撃され死亡した事件で、無職山上徹也容疑者（４１）＝殺人容疑で送検＝が使った手製銃は、射程が１００メートル以上あるとみられることが１３日、分かった。１００メートル近く離れた建物の外壁に弾丸がめり込むほどの威力があり、奈良県警は高い殺傷能力があったとみて詳しく調べている。
　山上容疑者は、金属パイプ２本をテープで束ねた構造の手製銃を安倍氏に向けて２回発砲。一度の発射で複数の金属球を飛ばす散弾銃のような形で、少なくとも２個が命中したとされる。
　県警によると、１３日の現場検証で、発砲した場所の北約９０メートルにある立体駐車場の外壁に弾痕とみられる穴が３カ所見つかった。それぞれ地面からの高さが４、５、８メートルで、ほぼ縦一列に並んでいた。
　穴の直径と深さは１センチ程度で、ほぼ同じ大きさの金属球が埋まっているのも確認できた。穴の位置や壁の損傷状況を考慮すると、手製銃の射程は１００メートルを超えていた可能性が高い。発砲場所の北約２０メートルに止めてあった選挙カーの看板にも穴が開いていたが、同じ射線上に位置していた。
　銃器に詳しい専門家は「弾丸はかなりの大きさがあり、威力を残したまま９０メートルも飛んだことを考えると、十分な殺傷能力があった」と指摘。警察関係者は「過去の鉄パイプ製の密造銃よりも、飛距離が出ている印象だ」と話した。
　山上容疑者宅からは、事件に使われたもの以外にも複数の手製銃が押収されており、県警はこれらについても威力を調べる。（2022/07/13-18:26）

The homemade gun used by the suspect in the fatal shooting of former Prime Minister Shinzo Abe is believed to have had a range of more than 100 meters, it was learned Wednesday.
   On the day, police found what appeared to be three bullet holes on the exterior walls of a multi-story parking facility about 90 meters to the north of where the suspect, Tetsuya Yamagami, 41, fired the gun in the western Japan city of Nara on Friday, informed sources said.
   The holes were four meters, five meters and eight meters above ground, respectively, and almost formed a straight line, according to the sources.
   The holes were one centimeter in depth and diameter, and metal balls of the same size were found in them.
   From the locations of the holes and the extent of damage to the walls, the police believe that the homemade gun likely had a range exceeding 100 meters.
