「トリガー」解除で実務者協議　自公と国民、初の党首会談―岸田首相「話し合い続ける」

　岸田文雄首相（自民党総裁）と公明党の山口那津男代表は４日午後、国民民主党の玉木雄一郎代表と国会内で会談した。玉木氏によると、ロシアのウクライナ侵攻を受けた原油高騰対策として、ガソリン税を一時的に引き下げる「トリガー条項」の凍結解除などをめぐり実務者レベルで協議することで一致。玉木氏は凍結解除に加え、法律に基づく安全基準を満たした原発の再稼働に取り組むよう要請した。
　首相は４日夜、東京都内で記者団に「政策についてさまざまな提言をいただき、意見交換をした」と説明。予算案に賛成した国民民主の対応を「重く受け止め、公明党とともに話し合いを続けていきたい」と表明した。
　会談は国民民主側が持ち掛け、非公開で約３５分間行われた。首相が玉木氏と会談するのは初めて。国民民主の政策提案に対して前向きな姿勢を示すことで、政権運営への協力を引き出す狙いがあるとみられる。
　玉木氏は４日午前には山口氏と個別に会い、トリガー条項の凍結解除について協力を求めた。山口氏は３者会談後、記者団に「与党として玉木代表の意見を伺った初めての機会となった。これからも意見・要望があれば伺っていく」と語った。（2022/03/04-20:22）

The leaders of Japan's ruling camp and the opposition Democratic Party for the People agreed on Friday to discuss a temporary gasoline tax cut to address surging oil prices following Russia's invasion of Ukraine.
   Speaking to reporters, DPFP leader Yuichiro Tamaki said that working-level officials from the two sides will discuss the possibility of lifting a freeze on the so-called trigger provision to lower gasoline tax on a temporary basis.
   Tamaki said he has called on the ruling camp to ensure that more nuclear power plants that meet safety standards will be brought back online.
   He made the remarks after a meeting with Prime Minister Fumio Kishida, also president of the ruling Liberal Democratic Party, and Natsuo Yamaguchi, head of Komeito, the LDP's coalition partner.
   Kishida told reporters that the three leaders have discussed many policy proposals.
