那覇地検、オスプレイ機長を不起訴　１６年に名護沖で大破

　沖縄県名護市沖で２０１６年１２月、米海兵隊の新型輸送機ＭＶ２２オスプレイ１機が大破した事故で、那覇地検は１１日、操縦していた機長を不起訴処分とした。地検は理由を明らかにしていない。
　オスプレイは１６年１２月１３日、名護市の沿岸で大破し、乗員５人のうち２人が負傷。第１１管区海上保安本部は今年９月、訓練中に注意義務を怠ったとして、氏名を特定できないまま機長を航空危険行為処罰法違反の疑いで書類送検した。
　地検は、所要の捜査を尽くしたとしているが、機長の氏名を特定できたかどうかなど、詳細については「捜査の内容に関わるので答えられない」としている。（2019/12/11-19:25）

Pilot of Crashed Okinawa Marine Osprey Escapes Indictment

Public prosecutors decided Wednesday not to indict the pilot of a U.S. Marine Corps MV-22 Osprey that crashed off Okinawa Prefecture three years ago.
   The Naha District Public Prosecutors Office did not explain why.
   The tilt-rotor plane crashed in shallow waters off the city of Nago on Dec. 13, 2016, injuring two of the five crew members.
   In September this year, the 11th Regional Coast Guard Headquarters in Naha, the capital of the southernmost Japan prefecture, referred the pilot to the prosecutors without identifying the person by name for suspected violation of a law against acts to endanger aviation.
   The office said it had carried out all necessary investigations, but declined to elaborate.
