日韓首脳、徴用工で平行線　岸田氏、関係改善へ対応要求―初の電話会談

　岸田文雄首相は１５日、韓国の文在寅大統領と就任後初めて、約３５分間電話会談した。首相は、韓国最高裁が日本企業に賠償を命じた元徴用工をめぐる問題で、解決に向けた前向きな対応を要求。文大統領は「（双方の）法的解釈が異なる問題だ」と述べ、議論は平行線をたどった。
　首相はこの後、記者団の取材に応じ、元徴用工などの問題に関し「日韓関係は引き続き非常に厳しい状況にある。健全な関係に戻すため、韓国側に適切な対応を強く求める」と語った。
　両政府によると、文大統領は「両国間で外交的解決を模索するのが望ましい」と述べ、外交当局間で解決を目指すべきだと強調。両氏は首脳間の意思疎通を図ることで一致した。
　元徴用工をめぐっては韓国の地方裁判所が先月、日本企業の資産に関し売却命令を初めて出した。「現金化」の動きが進めば、日韓関係の悪化が決定的になると懸念されている。
　会談で両首脳は、北朝鮮の核・ミサイル開発に対し、日韓、日米韓の連携を一層深めていく方針で一致。首相は拉致問題解決への協力を求め、文大統領も日本の立場に理解を示した。（2021/10/15-22:13）

Speaking over the phone with South Korean President Moon Jae-in on Friday, Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida urged Moon to take action to resolve the wartime labor issue between the neighboring nations.
   But Moon only replied that his country and Japan have different legal interpretations on the matter, according to sources who had access to Kishida's first talks as prime minister with the South Korean head.
   After the 35-minute conversation, Kishida told reporters that the Japan-South Korea relationship "continues to be in a very difficult situation."
   "I will call for appropriate South Korean moves to restore sound bilateral relations," he stressed.
   According to officials of the Japanese and South Korean governments, Moon expressed hope that the issue will be resolved diplomatically, and the two leaders agreed to promote communication between them.
