２０年の宿泊業倒産５７％増　コロナ禍で打撃―信用調査会社

　信用調査会社の東京商工リサーチが１２日発表した２０２０年の倒産状況は、宿泊業が前年比５７．３％増の１１８件となった。１００件以上となるのは１３年以来７年ぶりで、新型コロナウイルスの感染拡大の影響を受けた。負債総額は計５８０億円で、中堅規模以上の倒産が増えた。（2021/01/12-19:21）

Japan Hotel Failures Jump 57 Pct in 2020


The number of bankruptcies in the hotel industry in Japan in 2020 jumped 57.3 pct from the previous year to 118, according to Tokyo Shoko Research Ltd.
   The annual total surpassed 100 for the first time since 2013, mainly due to the impact of the novel coronavirus epidemic, the credit research firm said Tuesday.
   Liabilities left by collapsed hotel operators totaled 58 billion yen, with failures of midsize or larger firms increasing.
   By prefecture, 12 of the bankrupt companies were located in Nagano, home to many spa and ski resorts, 11 in Tokyo and nine in Shizuoka.
   "The situation is expected to remain severe this year" for the hotel industry, a Tokyo Shoko Research official said. "Bankruptcies are feared to increase further."
