３回目の饗宴の儀＝国会議員や知事ら参列

　天皇陛下の即位を祝う「饗宴（きょうえん）の儀」の３回目が２９日午後、皇居・宮殿で行われた。今回から立食形式で開催され、天皇、皇后両陛下は皇族方と共に、宮殿「豊明殿」に続いて「春秋の間」で会場内を回り、招待客と歓談された。
　この日は国会議員や知事、各界代表ら６７８人が参列。天皇陛下は「国民の幸せと国の一層の発展を祈ります」とあいさつした。出席者代表がお祝いの言葉を述べた後、乾杯が行われた。国民栄誉賞受賞者の王貞治さん、福島、千葉両県知事らも参列した。（2019/10/29-18:48）

Japan held the third of four "Kyoen-no-Gi" court banquets following the proclamation of Emperor Naruhito's accession to the throne at the Imperial Palace on Tuesday.
   The buffet-style banquet was attended by some 700 guests, including prefectural governors and members of the Diet, the country's parliament, as well as leading figures from various sectors. Emperor Naruhito, Empress Masako and other Imperial Family members met with guests at the "Homeiden" state banquet hall and the "Shunju-no-Ma" room at the palace in Tokyo.
   In a speech, the Emperor said he wishes people happiness and hopes to see the country develop further. A toast was then given by a guest representative.
   Notable attendees to the event include former baseball star and People's Honor Award recipient Sadaharu Oh and the governors of Fukushima and Chiba prefectures.
   The "Kyoen-no-Gi" banquets, part of the "Sokui-no-Rei" enthronement events, were conducted seven times for the previous Emperor, now Emperor Emeritus Akihito. While all seven banquets for the former Emperor were seated events, the third and fourth banquets for Emperor Naruhito are standing events.
