菅首相「緊急宣言拡大、連携して対応」　大阪、愛知の感染見極め

　菅義偉首相は８日午前、新型コロナウイルスの感染拡大に伴い首都圏１都３県に発令した緊急事態宣言の対象を、大阪府や愛知県などにも拡大する必要性について「（各自治体と）しっかり連携し、状況を確認した上で対応していきたい」と述べ、感染状況を見極めて判断する考えを示した。首相官邸で記者団の質問に答えた。
　首都圏では８日から宣言の期間に入った。首相は全国の感染状況について「極めて深刻に受け止めている」と表明。「飲食店の時間短縮、テレワーク（推進）など万全の対策を講じたい」とした上で、「国民の協力をいただきながら、何としても難局を乗り越えていきたい」と改めて呼び掛けた。
　この後の閣議で、首相は各閣僚に対し、「一致結束し、この難局を乗り切るため、精いっぱい励まなければならない」と述べ、万全の対応を指示した。
　加藤勝信官房長官は記者会見で「医療提供体制の充実を都道府県と国が一体となって取り組む」と強調。田村憲久厚生労働相も会見で「重症者、死亡者も増えており、大変緊張感、危機感を持って対応していかなければならない」と語った。武田良太総務相は「各自治体との連携を強化しなければならない」と指摘。自治体のテレワーク促進などに取り組む考えも示した。
　麻生太郎副総理兼財務相は日本経済への影響について「１～３月は間違いなく影響する。それ以後、どうなっていくか今の段階でよく分からない」と述べた。（2021/01/08-12:45）

Japanese Prime Minister Yoshihide Suga indicated the government's readiness Friday to consider expanding a COVID-19 state of emergency that took effect in the greater Tokyo area on the day.
   Suga was speaking to reporters at the prime minister's office about the possibility of expanding the state of emergency to cover prefectures including Osaka and Aichi, in addition to Tokyo and its neighboring prefectures of Saitama, Chiba and Kanagawa.
   The national government "will closely cooperate with local authorities and take action after understanding local circumstances," the prime minister said.
   Describing the nationwide epidemic situation as "extremely serious," Suga vowed to take "all possible measures" including the shortening of opening hours at eating and drinking establishments and the wider use of telework.
   "With support from the people, we'll do whatever is needed to get through this difficult situation," he stressed.
